Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our retreat is designed for people who are looking to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy a few days of exceptional hospitality in beautiful surroundings. Whether you’re coming on your own, with a friend or simply craving some time away from everyday life, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
No previous experience of yoga, gardening or creative workshops is needed -just an openness to enjoy the season at your own pace.
-
Absolutely.
In fact, many of our guests will come alone. One of the joys of a small retreat is how quickly strangers become friends. Shared meals, gentle activities and relaxed evenings create plenty of opportunities to connect, while also giving you space to enjoy moments of quiet whenever you need them.
-
Not at all.
The retreat is designed to be restorative rather than physically demanding.
Gentle movement and walks are suitable for most abilities, and you’re always encouraged to listen to your body. If you’d prefer to spend time reading in a cosy corner instead, that’s absolutely fine too.
-
While we encourage you to embrace the full experience, this is your retreat. If you’d prefer to skip an activity in favour of a quiet walk, a soak in the hot tub or an afternoon with a book, that’s absolutely your choice.
-
Once your place is confirmed, we’ll send you a detailed welcome guide with everything you need.
In general, you’ll just need comfortable clothing for walks and gentle movement, something cosy for the evenings, swimwear for the sauna and hot tub, and a pair of sturdy shoes or boots for exploring the beautiful Devon countryside.
Everything else has been thoughtfully taken care of.

Yes. There is ample parking available at ANRÁN for guests arriving by car.
We also have three EV charging points. If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station is Totnes and we’re happy to recommend local taxi services and help coordinate shared transport where possible.
-
Yes. We are happy to take payment in instalments, providing the final payment is made no later than four weeks before the retreat (Monday 28th September 2026).
-
We understand that life is unpredictable. If you need to cancel more than four weeks before your retreat, your deposit will be retained, but any further payments will be refunded.
If you need to cancel within four weeks of the retreat, we’re unfortunately unable to offer any refund, as costs will already have been committed on your behalf. If you find someone to take your place, they’re welcome to join with our approval.
We kindly ask for understanding here - our retreats are small, deeply planned offerings, and last-minute cancellations have an effect on the whole group and team.

Dogs are welcome on a case-by-case basis. Because we want to ensure all guests (including those with allergies) have a comfortable stay, please contact us prior to booking to discuss details and check availability.
Dogs must be well-socialised, kept on a leash in shared areas, and comfortable around groups.
